EP Garden Planner is developed and published by EFP Publishing LLC (DBA EFP Mobile Apps) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data.

Summary

• No accounts required — Use the app immediately, no sign-in needed.
• No ads or tracking — We do not include advertising or third-party analytics.
• On-device storage only — All data stays locally on your Android device.
• Offline-first — Core planning features work offline. Weather features require internet access.

Information We Collect

EP Garden Planner stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Garden bed layouts, cell assignments, and merged-cell configuration
• Plant selections and planted-date information
• Task progress, accomplishments, and reminder preferences
• Weather-related settings, such as rainfall units and default zip code
• App preferences and settings

We do not collect or store your garden data on our own servers. Your local app data stays on your device.

How We Use Information

Your garden data is used solely to provide app functionality—planning beds, surfacing daily tasks, and showing weather-aware guidance. All processing happens locally on your device.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All data is stored in the app's private storage on your Android device using SQLite database.
• Android Security: Your data is protected by Android's app sandboxing and your device's security features (lock screen, encryption).
• No Cloud Sync: The app does not automatically sync or upload your data to any cloud service.

Third-Party Services

EP Garden Planner does not use:

• Analytics services (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Crash reporting services
• Social media integrations
• Any other third-party tracking or data collection tools

Weather and Geocoding Requests

If you use weather features, the app makes requests to Open-Meteo services to fetch forecasts and (when using default zip code) resolve zip code coordinates.

• Forecast API: api.open-meteo.com
• Geocoding API: geocoding-api.open-meteo.com

These requests include location coordinates (or zip code for lookup) and are processed by those third-party endpoints under their own policies.

Permissions

EP Garden Planner may request the following Android permissions:

• Location: To fetch weather for your garden area (you can also set a default zip code).
• Storage / Photos: To attach custom bed photos and save local app data.
• Notifications: To send local reminders for daily garden tasks and weather alerts.

All permissions are used solely for their stated purpose and do not enable any data collection or transmission. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.

Google Play Services

When you download EP Garden Planner from the Google Play Store, Google collects certain information as described in the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive any personally identifiable information from Google Play.

Data Retention and Deletion

We do not store any copies of your data—all information resides only on your Android device. To delete your data:

• Use the in-app delete or clear data functions, or
• Uninstall the app from your device (Settings > Apps > EP Garden Planner > Uninstall), or
• Clear app data (Settings > Apps > EP Garden Planner > Storage > Clear Data)

Children's Privacy

EP Garden Planner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, no data about children is transmitted to us.

International Users

EP Garden Planner is available worldwide. All data storage and processing occurs locally on your device, regardless of your location. No data is transferred internationally because no data leaves your device.

Your Rights

Because all your data is stored locally on your device:

• You have complete control over your data at all times
• You can delete your data at any time
• You do not need to contact us for data access, correction, or deletion

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
